What are you Selling ?
Signs and or Vehicle Identification are often times your main, if not "only" form of advertising.

There are (2) schools of thought on this… Are we selling the name of the company, or your product/goods/service...? Which is the primary, or both?

The trick is to get people to see and hopefully remember your name and your product or service. This is a case where often times people get carried away. I am often asked to put down a whole list of products and services etc... and the message gets lost.

I have observed the large companies who have signs in front of their establishment and hundreds of items if not thousands inside to sell and the way they portray their businesses to the world. Their sign(s) out front show just their name - ONLY (sometimes the street address number). No phone numbers, no listing of the hundreds of products, no mulitple locations, etc... and believe me they're successful. As they say sometimes "Less is More"

The fact is that your sign, your truck lettering, your business cards, your T-shirts, and website(s) are all part of a large circle of advertising. They all matter, but you can't accomplish it all with just one of them.
